Hogs at Tara Firma Farms

I was trapsing past Tara Firma Farms in Petaluma today.  Boy, have they expanded operations.  There is a huge turkey operation going on there now.  I have a feeling in another week, I will be seeing alot less of those lovely white plumes.  I can not believe Thanksgiving is around the corner already.

One of these Sundays, I will have to take the free farm tour.  They schedule them Sat. and Sundays 10am to 3 pm, and I bet it is a great, informative tour.  Also if you want any fresh farm eggs, beef, chicken and of course turkeys...they have it.

I hope the hogs will still be around when I get around to the tour so I can get some close ups of their mugs.  They are looking pretty succulent and I know they are also a farm fresh item. They are also just way too cute. What is it about spots that are just make you laugh.

Love the watering system.  No hauling buckets of water or waiting around filling up a huge trough.  Nice and simple.

These guys are just too cute.

But all I have to do when eating bacon is remember the night on the family farm when a huge boar showed up out of nowhere and charged me.  Couldn't even see the darn thing in the pitch black.
Yes, bacon is good.
